060710c Waking Up

eastern glow pushing darkness
busy bird singing for his princess
caterpillar measuring the branch
before the beak struck it in half
no sound of a cry but dull squirt
muted by wing creatures' chirp

i waited for clouds to clear sky
too slow i could have run a mile
fraction of a moon barely a line
of a pretty lips about to smile
i think about you when you hello
it's been a while i really miss you
