Matthew Foor Poems
Take a walk with me and talk with me About the world that we live in today Cuz when we reach the shores of the river stix We're each gonna have to pay
Damn technology! Damn it all to hell! We eat, sleep, and breath technology. I just lost a poem to that evil vermin!
Moonlit slumbers Under veiled stars Orange glow above city streets Damp back alleys
There is a boiler Down deep inside In between my heart and ribs
Against Winter's Wind
Homeward bound Against the sting wicked, whippin, wind Whirlin, twirln', incessant wind
I am 10 feet tall Biceps 14 inches round Thighs pushing 600lbs Calves that resemble melons
Deep sleep Eyes bleed Motionless movement Lost in the deep
The wind held its breath All was calm In the microcosm of my mind Knowledge with responsibilities
What a mood I'm in! Irritated, agitated, aggravated NO SMOKES NO SMOKES
On the day we first met I will never forget The endless tattoos that she bore The fire in her voice
What once was a slumber Now Rebuked Aimless wind Throwing razor blades at my face
Voices float around the room landing on the lobes of my ears Discernable and confusing
Behind The Eyes
It is its own type of torture The loss of words I suffer from
Sorrow for those who cannot observe and interpret written word Why sorrow?

About the world that we live in today
Cuz when we reach the shores of the river stix
We're each gonna have to pay
Pay for the sin
And pay for the pain
Pay for the wars we've waged
The ironic thing is
The wars we've waged
Are against ourselves
And against the RAGE
The RAGE of the world around us
Society that keeps us down
'Eye for an eye'
and 'Turn the other cheek'
Keep the future looking bleak
And political control
Hand in hand
They take their ...
