Reaching new heights

Dew blankets the eager buds
Curious rays peek through the trees
Wakening the bugs
Darkness is shed like sleeves

Blessed rays
The fruits of His labor
A summer haze
Beauty is rampant

Silly girl
You already know this
You can laugh and twirl
But he wont notice

A path untrodden
She dares to venture
With dew it's sodden
Focus her center
...

Freckled cheeks
A tiny frame
Green eyes of innocence
The wind whispers her name
...

Who are you?
Oh never mind, I know who you are
I've gotten lost in your eyes once or twice
Not on purpose of course
...

The moon rises for it's shift
Casting an eerie glow
Offering it's timeless gift
To the expectant earth below
