On angel's wings you were taken away
You left me behind and here I must stay
Memories seeded from time spent with you
Shared lives spent together as one not two

Words written for you and me
Fact, fiction, poetry or prose they write
Compelling to us like flowers to a bee
...

Did I learn lessons to last a lifetime
Lessons once learnt not forgotten
Or did I learn lessons just to pass time
Lessons once learnt soon forgotten
...

The cooling days are on their way
As Summer slowly says goodbye
The morning greets me every day
Beneath a dull grey sombre sky
...

For love of writing I put pen to page
The words come tumbling and spill out before
I keep on writing my need demands more
The joy of writing now takes centre stage
...

My garden in spring a lovely thing
Bees buzz among the Banksia
Emerald leaves rustle and play
Jasmine scent fills the air

It's off to the dentist today
With dread I count the hours down
Pain I know will be on the way
My fate awaits across the town
