Reading Poem by Craig Lincoln

Reading

Words written for you and me
Fact, fiction, poetry or prose they write
Compelling to us like flowers to a bee

Be it a desert or a ship lost at sea
All are fodder for our voyeurs delight
Words written for you and me

Words that reveal the authors ecstasy
Read with passion morning noon and night
Compelling to us like flowers to a bee

The stage is set begin the journey
We travel until the end is in sight
Words written for you and me

Brought along for the ride our destiny
Kidnapped by the words they just had to write
Compelling to us like flowers to a bee

The call of the writer it has to be
Readers devouring all in their sight
Words written for you and me
Compelling to us like flowers to a bee
