On Angels Wings Poem by Craig Lincoln

On Angels Wings

On angel's wings you were taken away
You left me behind and here I must stay
Memories seeded from time spent with you
Shared lives spent together as one not two
Alone without you another lost day

Here with family I act out this play
Scenes to be rolled out day after day
Away from our life and beyond you flew
On angel's wings

My life without colour my life just grey
I long for the final act of this play
Between my arms I held onto you
Between your arms I farewelled you
I said goodbye as you went on your way
On angel's wings
