The roads are still empty,
With only a platoon of pigeons to guard our streets.
Before even the bin lorry dwindles whining and chomping,

Straight in front
we shall stand slowly nearing,
hand touch hand pull me closer to your being
eyes though closing still are seeing

I loitered one festive season
Amongst the throng of gift laden shoppers
To see the Christmas light was my reason

Tingle my taste buds for it's that season,
To joyfully indulge with adequate reason,

When Winter's gone and sprung has Spring,
