Fallen Again Poem by Corinne Watt

Fallen Again

I've fallen again
Let the guilt now pour
And although You've forgotten them
You've heard these confessions before.

Just when I'm doing alright
Walking life's lane within Your painted lines
Looking ahead and not dreading the day
Letting go knowing You've annulled my past crimes.
Glorying glorifying glowing
The greatest radiance showing
Within Your power system flowing
Stretching out and feeling me growing

And suddenly I've fallen.
Oh yes I've been here many times
No devil to blame just the flesh that is self
That led me sideways to temptations landmines.

I want to stamp on the head
Of the old man within,
Stamp stamp until no longer
He compels me to sin.
He must not have control
He must not survive
You fleshy one must rot!
And my spirit then thrive!

To lift me up form the lowest depth
Comes a magical plea from the heart
I'm back on the lane with the painted lines
This fallen one is given a new start.
