Bri Lynne Poems

1.

The rain pulls at my insides
Pulls the salt from my eyes
Reminding me of the gloom
Hiding just beyond the sunny skies
...

Why are you sitting in my chair she asked
Because I don’t know how to live I answered
What are you saying, she raised her eyebrows
I think it’d be much easier to die I sighed
...

3.

Broken in the eye of the beholder
Tempted in the eyes of the weak
Stealing my glory
Losing my will to speak
...

In a trance
Scared
Just to mention it
It’s hard not to
...

Playing ball at two feet tall
Laughing wildly, not getting it
As he pats my head in momentary adoration
Stumbles to throw again
...

6.

I'm torn painfully in half
Between here and way over there
Between two opposing loves
Barely able to balance on these bloody feet
...

As he held me unintentionally
And I thought of the way he held my heart
Hot and bleeding to his elbows
I wondered why he squished it between his fingers
...

8.

Our time together
In desperate dispositions
In tragic goodbye kisses
In harmonious happiness
...

It's the bloody end
Finally it can all come undone
Tales of tall, luck stretched further
Squished smaller than you'd think
...

Tomorrow has become the Sun
I've planned a fall
Angels would grimace after
Sometimes you must just follow
...

11.

Up is just an idea
Once you're so high
That down is all there is
With each withered stair
...

You might think things are lookin up
Smile as you gently glide through
Forgetting the point
But a peak this frigid
...

I always get the rest
What's left
The greenest glares
Painful stares
...

Beyond what is
And what can't see
Between your ears
Emptily
...

I can lastly feel your pull
Coming over top of me
Making this mean something
Lay it sweetly in my dreams
...

She wasn't lonely
But for a granddaughter
A promise for goodbye that never came
A dirty regret
...

What could move this heavy tide
That was born with us
Bond together with it's sticky lies
Remnants strewn across the bedroom floor
...

He called me up,
Ripe, dancing into the lights
His shield falling between his knees
Bleeding from underneath
...

It wasn't love at first sight
But at first flight
Taken by the sight
Sparkling green like the trees
...

I remember how he choked out
I remember how she yelled
Could I forget the before times
Should I just forgive
...

The Best Poem Of Bri Lynne

Rain

The rain pulls at my insides
Pulls the salt from my eyes
Reminding me of the gloom
Hiding just beyond the sunny skies

The smell envelopes me
Memories of years I've spent
Staring out into the falling drops
When I loved simple things
Like dancing barefoot in the rain

Thunder shaking my core
With each mournful drum
Like a beached whale
Moaning as its last breath gets eaten up
With the wild winds

The rain changes me
With each melodic drop
Making me weak
Much too hopelessly realized

Much too quick to weep
