Your Pull Poem by Bri Lynne

Your Pull

I can lastly feel your pull
Coming over top of me
Making this mean something
Lay it sweetly in my dreams
Strum it deep into my ears
Float aside me through the years
Can't you hold this love?
It's sweeping up my dusty fears
Can't you stand for us?
It's bringing me to tears
Just tell me if I'm wrong
It's just this pull I can't ignore
It's just the loss I can't afford
Perhaps I can be your end
But I must wish beyond
This deeply ragged friend
This terrifying bend
I've come through and finished bloody
Just to meed you at the end
Again
The mystery has bound me
Like a sailer to a bed
The lines I've crossed behind your eyes
The strength I've seen
Torment and wishing too
And though I've yet to warm your chest
I just can't bear to lose
I just don't want to drown you
Like so many before you
With just a taste
Of fortune
I can't feel you one needed night
Can't bear forgetful lust
I chose it now to your surprise
Just for my belief in us
My faith could turn the seas to blood
And you will be the one I trust
