It was my darling daughter's wedding day,
and, though NOT 'pure', she wore white.
She would have eloped if I'd had MY way;
I'd rather have been flying …. a damn kite.

My dad, God bless him, some thought was weird,
and not because he chewed tobacco and ….. had a beard.
But unlike some dads who leave raising kids up to 'Mom',
Dad parented gently, though he could be stern (while calm) .

I'm sorry, I don't like your poem, but like it yourself if it is your wish.
I may comment on it, OR....I may toss it overboard like a dead fish.
Well you need not like MY poem. YOU decide which ones you favor.
I'm not sorry for you, but sorry for ME...that your poem I do not savor.

In the 'Add New Poem' instructions PH says 'Take a deep breathe',
but it should say 'breath' [rhymes with death], so I now DO grieve!
It's a grammatical error, one even (I think) 'Bri' has made in the past,
AND I'll bet my high school English teachers would....now be aghast!

Stopping by the drug store
she bought six-pack of drink,
took back to children, four,
and set it by the sink.
...

The Dinosaurs entered Noah's Ark, two by two,
until his boat was full and Noah cried 'Shoo shoo! '
So some were saved from the Biblical flood,
and lived on a bit longer, with their cold blood.
