Farewell to the mistress of lies and deceit
I gave you my heart, I knelt at your feet
Softly you whispered so sweetly you spoke
Each promise you vowed went up in smoke
...

Sorrow has spread quickly through out my heart
Nothing is left but the pain as feelings depart
Wild fires of rage burn through the walls of my soul
Flames of despair and anger are out of control
...

In this old house with faded blue walls
Dirty storm windows and carpeted halls
Silence screams loudly in every room
Among the ashes of love once in bloom
...

Standing high on the rocky mountain top
She stands mesmerized by the beauty below
A sea of trees and fields spread out before her
Like the strokes from an ole masters brush
...

Sitting at the table Reminiscing about the past
The journey of their friendship that is unsurpassed
Many times have they cried and held each other tight
Marriages that had failed, and lovers that took flight
...

A dark haired beauty of tender years
Is touched by evil and kindles fears
A malignant force runs through her veins
A soulless shell as blood she rains
...

Lava deluge from the mountain top
A cascade of sparks you can’t stop
Annihilating everything in it’s path
Behold the fear of her wrath
...

A Question to ponder…

A brush fire ravages the hillside
Leaving ash instead or greenery
...

Race
Color
Religion
Difference’s

Sun scorched barren ground
Like spreading lines on shattered glass
Cracks split wide the arid terrain
Thirsting for much needed water
...

Invisible me / Suspicion
**
Shadowed existence in my mind
Is impossible to define
...

Nothing seems to fit, like a puzzle with pieces lost
Moving them all around completion at any cost
Forcing pieces into place, they become deformed and broken
Frustration again reigns king, words like venom spoken
...

Growing a sweet friendship cool and hanging out
Never thinking it could be more not what it’s about
We would laugh, chat, and carry on until the break of day
Then it was time to leave much to our dismay

Tears are blinding my vision
Pain ripping through my heart
Hollow and empty, lost and tired
Happiness no longer lives in me
...

Sitting in the hospital waiting room
Atmosphere filled with pain and gloom
Weeping inside those invisible tears
A torrent of emotions mostly of fear
...

Dark wings burn as they enfold
A touch of fire and yet so cold
A song of death and destruction
An ardent sting of sweet seduction
...

Like the first cracks in the ice of a pond
My heart began to break and fall apart
Desires and plans slipping through the cleft
Pieces falling into the cold water of sorrow
...

**Glosa Verse Poem using:
God save the flag / Oliver Wendell Holmes
Last line in each stanza is from God Save the Flag the rest is my work**
...

A morning of gray the sun’s not around
Grass is still crunchy there is frost on the ground
Mountains are topped with snowy white caps
Bears in their caves for the long winter nap
...

In each of us lives darkness hiding from the light
Evil that lives inside waiting for the night
Blocking out our senses filling up our minds
Taking us out of control making us so blind

Mistress Of Lies

Farewell to the mistress of lies and deceit
I gave you my heart, I knelt at your feet
Softly you whispered so sweetly you spoke
Each promise you vowed went up in smoke

You walked in the shadows, hide from the light
I was blinded by love and fell for you plight
Green Eyes like emeralds, hair black as coal
Like a vampire kiss you sucked out my soul

Dagger like talons you cut open up my skin
Releasing your venomous poison within
My body convulsed and writhed in pain
You watched me suffer until I was drained

You walked in beauty the essence of grace
A Deceptive smile on your angelic face
A sirens song or a fever of the mind
Nothing left of you now, access denied
