Bashir Badr (Urdu: بشیر بدر ) is an acclaimed Indian poet of Urdu.
Childhood
Sayyed Mohammad Bashir Badr was born into a Muslim family at Ayodhya, in India. This city is known for its cultural and religious history. Bashir was the fourth child of Sayyed Nazir and Aaliya Begum. His father was an Assistant Accountant in the Indian Police and highly respected in the community. Bashir as a child was far clearer in thoughts and visions of life than the children of his age. Bashir throughout was an obedient and respectful child. When he was of age 7, he wrote his 1st Sher. He had a deep desire that even his shers should be published in a magazine. First of his shers were published in the magazine named ’Nigaar’ at Lucknow.
Bashir had a particularly close relationship with his father, who taught his son honesty in life. When he was roughly sixteen, his father was taken ill, it caused Bashir to discontinue his studies and earn for the family.
Education
Bashir Badr did his schooling from Halim College, Kanpur. He completed his high schooling in the yr 1949 from Islamiya College, Itawa.
Thereafter, he had to take a break from his studies owing to the fact that; he had to take care of the family, due to the ill-health of his father, ‘Sayyed Mohd. Nazir’.
He is the only person in the history of education to have studied from his own written books.
Bashir Badr then rejoined in for M.A. in 1967. He did his MA and PhD from the Aligarh Muslim Univ..
