Maybe the universe is an ocean,
Deep and black,
So vast that we cannot se the opposite shore.
...
Stars are like a handful of diamonds,
Thrown across the dark velvet expanse of the sky.
Watching from a far our world,
Watching from up high.
...
My shadow walks beside me.
She is my friend when times are hard.
My shadow can always see,
When I'm alone.
...
We were quick to blame,
Without cause,
The different races we put to shame.
And through our ignorance,
...
How Big Is The Universe?
Maybe the universe is an ocean,
Deep and black,
So vast that we cannot se the opposite shore.
Perhaps the universe is a painting,
Not quite finished,
And never will be.
The universe could be a piece of woven cloth,
That some higher entity is weaving.
Keep weaving forever, so that the universe can go on for infinity.
What if the universe were actually a great web,
Spun by a giant spider in an intricate and unique pattern.
Stars would be the glittering dew drops,
Shining on each single strand of satin thread.
How vast the universe is, I know not.
It could be small, or it could go on forever.
I believe it is large, so large that it's greatest
Secrets might never be revealed.
Do you feel small?
