Alone Poem by Stella Kuhl

Alone

Some people walk alone in the world,
No one to talk to,
No one to share in their doubts and worries.
They need a friend,
But none are found,
There is no hope for them.

I am not alone,
I have a friend,
We'll be like this forever.
And when forever comes,
She'll have left without me.
Time will steal her away,
Like it steals away the red of autumn,
When the snow falls in winter.
The seasons will turn,
And I will not know,
What happened.
Why did forever have to come?
That she should go away?
And leave me here,
Alone to walk,
These endless days away.
I'll remember her,
She'll stay in my heart.
And as long as the seasons turn,
I will not forget.

For I was not alone,
We smiled and laughed.
We shared our pain.
We understood.
Because that is what friends do.
She wiped my tears,
And I hers.
We helped each other,
When life got in our way,
And no matter what happened,
She was there.

But now I walk alone,
For she is gone,
But the seasons turn,
And spring will come again.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I am in year seven and I wrote this poem about two of my friend who left school.
When I read it to my teacher and my mum it made them cry! They new how upset I was about my friends leaving.
