Gunman Poem by Alejandro Torres

Gunman

Don’t know how
I’m suppose to handle this
I want you
But you have him
And if he knew my agenda
I’d be dead
How can you play with my feelings
Knowing the outcome
Of your actions
Days pass
And I wish it was you
Threatening to pull the trigger
Wish it was you stabbing
Between my breast
Rather then you
Kissing my cheek
Holding me close
Showing me the lie
You want to live out
Before he gets us
Before we die
Why cant it go back
To the way it was
When you didn’t know
I existed
You were anonymous
And I didn’t have to look over my shoulder
Every corner I take
Hold this heart by the strings
You tie too tight
Wish it was you who’d finish
Cutting through me
Maybe for my sake
With just one kiss
Before we hear the trigger
Before we note the hammer
Before he ends us
For good

The interesting poetic ”reference” … Last lines with ”ecstasy” … Dramatic nature and lyricism...
