***the Garden*** Poem by Alejandro Torres

***the Garden***

Rating: 2.7

Darling
Has the winter
Come early
To steal you away
Or has my fall
Come too soon

I no longer hold youth
In the tips of my fingers
Nor my eyes
My Treasure
Age has captured me
In her ravishing grasp
And stolen me
From your bed

Design a trail
A feast
For me to follow
Open the silk
Of the gates
And open the garden
Of Eden

I'll follow the honey scent
The gentle musk
Of your femininity
Til I reach the fountain
Of youth again
And am allowed to drink
Of your ambrosia

Gentle swipes
To the pomegranate seeds
Darling
Open your gates
Open them
Unto me

I wish to be
Young and carefree
Lost in the trance
Of your beckoning fire
Burning bright
In your Gypsy eyes

Open the flood gates
And let me drown
In the well spring
Of your tender abandon
We'll be forever young
Under the velvet cover
Of forbidden nights

Let me ease in
To the tight confines
Of a velvet home
And show you
This Demon
Hasn't corrupted my ways
Tender to your needs
I still remain

Lead me home
And grant me permission
To bite gently
Into this timeless love
Sing to me
Of your unknown desires
Let me be
Your knight

Darling
Guide me home
And undo this curse

I wish to be forever young
