Call My Name Poem by Thistle Wargul

Call My Name

Tonight I leave,
In the darkness, alone.
Tonight I sleep,
Close my eyes forever.

Tonight in the darkness
I leave all alone,
Tonight I find myself.
Tonight in the shadows
I close my eyes,
Never to wake up again.

Conversations with myself,
It’s all inside my head.
I’m the monster screaming,
Filling me with dread.
I’ve tried too long,
I must give in.
Can’t you hear them call my name?
Can’t you hear them screaming,
Calling my name?

Call my name,
Help me find my way home.
In the dark I’ve lost myself,
I can’t find my way home,
Won’t you listen?
Call my name,
Help me find my way home.
In the dark I’ve lost myself,
I can’t find my way home,
Won’t you listen?

Tonight in the darkness
I open my eyes,
I can’t see, but I hear them calling.
One day, when I’m free,
I will hunt them down,
I will find those calling my name.

Dashing through the bright blue fire,
My flesh is licked by flames.
The roaring wind, the surging waves,
I fear that I can’t gain.
I’ve run until my legs are numb,
And yet I still press on.
I’ll keep on running, never stop
Until I beat the pain.

Screaming monsters in my head,
It’s far too late to go.
You made your choice to chase me down,
And now I’ve taken your throne.
You tried too hard,
You can’t resist,
You cannot stop your fall.
Can’t you hear them screaming,
Calling my name?
