Starry Night Sky Poem by Thistle Wargul

Starry Night Sky

Rating: 5.0

Twinkling in the mid-night velvet,
Sparkling pricks of light.
Hanging in the empty abyss
Of empty outer space.

I look up into the star-lit sky,
I look up into hope.
I wish one day we’ll meet again,
And wish you’d never gone.

The ancestors of thousands sit
Watching over Earth.
The pearly gates of heaven
Sparkling in their eyes.

I lie here watching late at night,
The stars that you see too.
And know that you are missing me,
As I am missing you.

Glistening on a navy blanket,
Flickering shafts of hope.
I stare into the starry night sky,
And know that you are home.
