Zombie Poem by Marea Johnson

Zombie

Rating: 5.0

My mouth, it moves, and the words come out
But I'm the walking dead who's stumbling about.

My ears, they hear, and the words come in
But I'm the walking dead who's full of sin.

My eyes, they see, the people around
But I'm the walking dead, just above the ground.

My arms, they move, to and fro
But I'm the walking dead with nowhere to go.

My legs, they walk me, here and there
But I'm the walking dead and nobody cares.

My heart, it beats, but it goes unheard
for I'm the walking dead, saying not a word.

My soul is bleeding, but none can see
'Cuz I'm the walking dead and no more is me.
