Rich Girl Poem by Marea Johnson

Rich Girl

Rating: 5.0

Diamonds and furs and satin and lace
Perfect foundation to hide a sad face.

Dances and parties and shimmering rings
Bareless back dresses and purses and things.

Fast running horses and polished up cars
A drink on the rocks to hide all the scars.

A talkative world, can't find peace anywhere
I just want somebody to tell me they care.

all the treasures in the world can never hide a sad face even if it is covered in satin and lace.
