Youth Shall Knock Poem by April Monroe

Youth Shall Knock

Rating: 5.0

Beauty never more so cursed

Than for a woman for which men thirst

He'll be there but not for long

Until youth sings its siren's song

Then from there the battle begins

To tempt the men's souls from within

Faded Beauty sits at rest

Waiting for the finished test

Will he fail like those before

Summoned by a new allure?

Beauty cringes at the thought,

That of which can't be bought

But then a smile fills her face

A realization calms her space

Just as been done before,

Youth shall knock at that Beauty's door
