Your Words Poem by sebastian awa

Your Words

a swords tip is dull in comparasion,
to the words you lashed out before me.
let the heavens rain swords and knives upon me,
the pain will not compare to your words.

you can cut my heart out and stab it till it bleeds,
but not a single tear will drip,
not like the oceans i would cry,
for the small words you could whisper.

it's a pity how i could ever value,
such mindless and careless words.
but if i have to hear you say them,
i would rather take the blade of a sword,
and let it slice thourgh me.
slipping my blood that your words would poison.
