You Really Walk Fast Poem by Vera Sidhwa

You Really Walk Fast

You Really Walk Fast

My God! Slow down!
Tell me what makes you walk like this.
Is it sadness or happiness,
Or other kind-ness?

I noticed your walk in the forest.
I was there.
I noticed your walk in the city.
I was there.

But you walked quickly,
During both walks.
You didn't loo at me.
You didn't walk with me.

I told you to stop,
But you didn't.
You told me,
That life was going by fast.
