You have my attention.

And not through just our revealing

conversation,

Not only by passionate kisses,

But you got my attention

While you slept.

Tired from the week,

Weary of the world,

While we hid,

Your breath on my arm

Got my attention,

When you kissed my shoulder

From a deep sleep,

That got my attention.

When you pulled me close

And held on tight

Without opening your eyes,

Then you saw me

In the morning light

And smiled,

You have my attention.
