You Colour Me In Poem by Mark E Webster

You Colour Me In

Rating: 5.0

Before you,
I was an empty outline
Made of skin,
Now,
You colour me in.

In the blackness of the darkest night
You colour me white.

Walking in the forest,
Camping by the stream,
You colour me green.

By the fireside,
Laughing as the wine flows,
You colour me rose.

I am fitter.
I am stronger.
I am healthier now,
I think,
You colour me pink.

I can't escape all sadness
But I can share my woes with you
Since
You colour me blue.

No more lonely nights,
Instead,
Hours of passion in my bed,
Where,
You colour me red.

After waiting for so long
For someone to come along,
I am as complete as I can get
Thanks to your palette.
From outside
To within,
You
Colour
Me
In.
