Yet Again With Or Without You Poem by Asma Khan

Yet Again With Or Without You

Yet again the rebellious chords of
my heart calls your name
in the honor of every spring

Yet again the crimson red shines on
my lips kissing winter cold
flowers longing for you

Yet again the hungry beast of
your conscious rules my heart
swallowing all precious memories

Yet again the written book of destiny
is read from time to time to
mark your victory with my defeat

Yet again the light winged birds of
hopes have flown to me every evening
dropping sweet and sour dreams on my eyes

yet again the course of fate takes me
to your doorstep each time I shift
my focus off you

Yet again I stood alone in another
battle against my heart to let
you win over me
