You Are My Winter Song Poem by Asma Khan

You Are My Winter Song

I sing you like a soft winter song
whistling your words through my heart

I pat my dreams like a baby's wish in the heart
cuddling desires with each passing moment

I toss you in the air like a strayed thoughts
reminding myself of your existence and pain

I caress you like the dew kisses the night
embracing all memories of love and part

I seek you in the secrecy of the night
escaping from the eyes of gone time

I bring you back from the ruins of past
carrying your heart in the basket of present

I feed our separation with trust and curse
sleeping in the arms of an unknown future

I water our dreams with love and passion
growing them stronger than you can imagine

I wander in your thoughts mines in your heart
holding a lantern to lighten your paths

I love you to death or you don't believe
dying in your love is the beginning of my story!
