Xenophobia Poem by cebolenkosi kubheka

Xenophobia

I heard the noise
So I listened,
I saw a trail of blood
So I followed it,
I heard a screaming sound
So I came closer,
I laid my eyes so my heart bled
Harder than he was bleeding
I stopped and I stared,
I could swear I heard a voice
Saying 'forgive them father for they
Know not what they are doing'
I got dizzy
Due to inhaling smoke
From a tyre that was burning slowly
To ashes taking along with it
A poor helpless soul
I heard a voice from the man
on the cross saying
'Today I shall be with you
in paradise'
As the ashes of the tyre were
melting down and drifting away
With the poor helpless soul.
I heard the voice for the last time
Saying 'my father my father
Why have you forsaken me? '
I listened carefully but the voice was no more
God has left, God bless
For so this country is so Godless
Invite God back stop Xenophobia
