Wrinkles Of Time Poem by Soubhagyabanta Maharana

Wrinkles Of Time

WRINKLES OF TIME
Soubhagyabanta Maharana

Body and time go together
Signifying the sense of wrinkles
In the metaphor of life.

Like creases in the skin
To highlight the greying of age
Wrinkles of time
Symbolize the passing moments
That hover around the old age.

Burning passions face
The vicissitudes of fortune
And labyrinth of problems
Encircling the stressful lives
To throw a benign gaze
At the withering of flowers.

With ups and downs of fate
Fading of memory takes a turn
When the years of disillusionment
Fall upon the hard realities
To enlighten the living on the edge.

Like a wild fire of summer
Wrinkle will spread its wings
If time is not obeyed properly
To jeopardize men’s worthy interests
Of the halcyon days gone by.

Time shall subjugate everyone
Through its wrinkling process
The beauties of Miss World and Miss Universe
Will pass into oblivion someday
Like a remote reverberation
Keeping little foot-prints of people
On the changing sands of time.
