Would you?

Would you mould the way I walk?
-No, but I would take your hand
And help you walk as soft and fine
As on the fence top walks the cat.

Would you sculpt my words?
-Yes, letter by letter, in stone
Which I will sink into a river
To be washed with love.

Would you take my tears,
Turn them into oasis, turn my mumbles
into sound of hummingbirds?
-No. But with a shy smile,
I will wipe each off.

Would you ignore the scar tissue?
-No, I would observe them careful
now and then, just to remind me
How to keep being grateful to you.

Would you ignore the sores,
Tourniquet my shoestrings,
So I won't fall down anymore
-Only if you'd want me to.

Would you keep me warm and dry?
-Your wish is my command.

Would you let me cry?
-Only if your tears
could be mixed with mine.

Would you let me go?
-Freedom is true love.

Thank you! If my feet
were made of clay,
I'd walk myself to you today,
Show you my love, forevermore...
- Ha! ? Love? Forevermore? ...
Grrr!

The question mark itself spells out the type of love, in my opinion. A meaningful and thought provoking poem. Thanks for sharing.
