Words Poem by Rosa Williams II

Words

Words hurt more
Then a slap to the face
They bubble inside
Where they stay encased

They grip on your brain
Repeat all the time
They only thing living
Are the lies kept inside

They bruise and they cut
Cause immense pain
Over and over
So you go insane

So then when you do
Your eyes kept shut
You do the bad things such as
Puke, bleed, and cut

It makes you feel better
Release in the sting
But the words will still hurt
Forever they sing

Sing lies to me
Strung together like thread
You're worthless, you're useless,
You're better off dead

So there in my heart
As it clenches with pain
The lies are champions
Where as truth, they will reign
