Fault Poem by Rosa Williams II

Fault

'It's all my fault'

But it's not
And somewhere deep inside you know it
It's his fault
But then he says
'We'll if you didn't wear those clothes'
Then he wouldn't have to do it
You know it
You've heard it all before
And it's not the first time it's happened
'You can't tell anyone'
But you want to
You feel like a scared little girl
And you were
Just a child back then
And before you know it
Your looking in the mirror
You still feel him next to you
He's still telling you
'It's your fault'
And he's not there
But for some reason
You answer back

'No it's not'
