Misophonia Poem by Rosa Williams II

Misophonia

Stop
Please, you have to stop
I just can't stand it
Pop, Pop, Pop

Yeah that's right
Pop your gum
Let me think: scream or run?

I can't take it
No way out
My brain is too messed up
But how?

How did this happen
Why to me
How could this happen
I could've been free

But here I am
Crying
And somehow you don't seem to notice
I'm dying

You're too busy
Pop, Pop, Pop
To see how I feel
And maybe even stop

But you won't stop will you?
It's just a silly lie
I don't really suffer
I won't have this 'till I die

But maybe if you could
Walk a day in my shoes
Maybe you would stop
And see you're thoughts aren't true

I'm not asking for your soul
Or too much of your time
I'm just asking you to stop
Please, oh please, just try

It's so nice to know that I'm not alone
