Woman Poem by Quazi Johirul Islam

Woman

I don't want you to be a scaffold and save my virginity.
Rather I want you to be a mason,
use your hammer hard on me, cut me into pieces
and put me in your mixer, roll it, roll it…

and build a new world…

I don't want barren virginity under a safe scaffold.

Let me speak free and loud.
