An America how do you like to build, rebuild it,
How do you intend on to take it along
Keeping the Charter in mind,
The lessons learnt from history,
The Civil War which fraught it,
The torchbearers of the faith landing on
And teaching the lessons of liberalism and reformist attitudes,
Democracy, liberty and republicanism
As the cornerstone
Of the edifice built upon
Guaranteeing rights to all
Irrespective of any bias, prejudice and hypocrisy,
Class, colour, race and community
To differentiate in between man and man
And if this be, how the promises of yours,
How do you intend to build, rebuild it
With the new set up?
