Wishing On Stars Poem by Justin Gildow

Wishing On Stars

Secluded
Alone
There's only us left now
Tonight

Strange as it may seem
Some don't believe in wishing on stars
Or how things work out
Or what may come
But we feel like we're special
As it's only us now
Wishing on stars

Wishing on stars
It just feels special in some way
Each of us
One by one
We close our eyes
Make a wish
And send it to the stars
Letting it envelope in the wonderful nature
of the night

Looking at all of you
And you all looking at me
We're enjoying this mystical beauty
We're content with the way things are
For now
As we finish and take it all in
Wishing on stars
