Wishful Wishes Wished Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Wishful Wishes Wished

Easy are dreams to wish.
For them to come true.
Than it is to move,
From a sitting position.
Done to roll up one's sleeves.
Go to a closed door to open it.
With an inhaling deeply,
A breath to exhale.
Then prepare to leave behind,
Procrastination to face...
Reality.
The only place,
Where dreams come true...
Takes effort to endeavor.
Many sleepless nights.
With refusing to accept,
Excuses to make...
As achievements to accomplish!

Many eventually discover,
Wishful wishes wished...
Are often created fantasies,
By those who market to sell...
Delusions for a profit made.
With bubbles to burst.
And kites flying high,
Taking nose dives.
Snapping awake,
Anyone awaiting...
For the arrival,
Of the sugarplum fairie.
Anticipating to hear,
Some excuse to make.
To be forgiven for being late!
