Wish I Was You Poem by lori stlouis

Wish I Was You

I am here you are there;
please ask people not to stare.
You are up and I am down;
my crazy life is spinning around.
You are truthful I tend to lie;
I just want to lay down and die.
You have friends I have none;
I'm her daughter but you are her son.
You always go I always stay;
I live in the past you live for today.
You are happy and I am sad;
You always do good I seem to do bad.
You talk to me but I don't hear;
you are brave I'm in constant fear.
I'm insecure and you are strong;
You always do right me I do wrong.
You are a friend and I am a foe;
You smell the roses I always go.
You look for the good I for the bad;
You always seem happy I'm always sad.
You build things up I tear them apart;
I think with my head you feel with your heart.
You always give I always take;
you are so honest I'm a fake.
You live life on lifes terms I never do;
I wish i could be more honest and true.
You run like the wind that I don't dare;
just please ask people not to stare.
