Be Honest Poem by lori stlouis

Be Honest

Rating: 5.0

I came home this morning and you were not there;
all I could do was look around and stare.
I knew the reason the lies became too much;
I'm going to miss your kisses and your gentle touch.
All you wanted was for me to be honest with you;
my life is so unmanagable I don't know what to do.
My life is so confusing I'm not sure who to be;
I had made a promise this would not happen to me.
But lies they were spoken and now can't be undone;
I messed up a great relationship before it had begun.
