Winter's Autumn Poem by illinois haze

Winter's Autumn

Rating: 5.0

Her eyes bear down
obtrusive and intrusive
rain overwhelms the ground
as Christmas sets fire to the street
and my tired strained eyes
aren't ready to leave
looking up to the bashful stars
nicknames and steel frames
smiling in the passengers seat
of this cool collasped car
I believe this night cut straight through
I convinced myself
of all i felt
Telling me i wont forget you
she goes left
I stay right
we are young
the fire from tailights
let me sing
to strain my lungs
driving home
slower then usual
we got so close
closer then casual
a hint of a season
during a winters chill
a brand new reason
to remain open
smile and become the easy kill

You drive me insane wondering exactly what the true tale is and that is why someday-you will be great. There is a bit of mystery in all your tales. Your mother has tapped me and told me you just told him he isn't great yet. Only because you have yet to be discovered. We like the license plate line!
