Windy Days Poem by Alison Gaff

Windy Days

Today has been a stormy day
Winds so strong 'ner blows you away
The sky's a dark indigo and blue
With a chill wind that cuts right through

Seagulls soar a way up high
Flashing white in the dark sky.
Chocolate brown the rivers turned
Where the wind has whipped and churned

The wind tugs branches to and fro
Will they break.... I hope no!
Now and then the wind dies down
And all is still without a sound

Soon the wind gets up again
This time with it comes the rain,
Wet and windy not much fun
So I turn tail and off I run.
