Winds And Waves Poem by Jake Tadla

Winds And Waves

Rating: 4.5

It drains the darkness away;
This reality is absent in me for a while.
Through the seeming presence of the air
And the vastness of the sea.

The golden sun glows upon your skin
And the wind blows your hair.
I can see the mysteries of beauty
Behind your childish smile.

But now we’re nearing the shore,
A temporary goodbye shall be ours.
Not too soon will I see you again,
And by that, I’ll be happier again.
