Jake Tadla Poems

Ania’g nag-inusara,
Kauban ang barkada.
Nag-isturyahanay.
Nagkinataw-anay.
...

A complete sonnet
Yet a shattered glass.
The noisiest and busiest town
Yet I can feel solemnity.
...

These clouds, they’re so vague, I can’t see.
And down there- the sea,
So thick and blue black.
Is this how clear your love for me?
...

It drains the darkness away;
This reality is absent in me for a while.
Through the seeming presence of the air
And the vastness of the sea.
...

Ambot ug asa, ngano ug gi-unsa,
Nga pag-abot sa panahon nga aduna na koy buot
Mao na man kini ang akong nahibaw-an.
Ug nahadlok gayud ako, kay bata pa lagi.
...

Di’ ako ang tinuod nga ako
Kung may kambyo-
Gamay man o dako, ga-an o bug-at,
Maayo man o dautan-
...

As if a newly born angel,
Delivered with great pain.
Fruits of sacrifice
For a precious like no other.
...

Once, twice... a hundred...
Even a thousand times before.
But among countless trips,
I never had one like this.
...

The music starts to slow down a li’l bit;
Melody’s towards humming.
You’re hearing my deepest voice.
The words slip though your earlobes.
...

A certain vision
Haunts the whole atmosphere.
It gives me chill I don’t need.
My hair stands.
...

Sharp sparkles of the light bulbs
Is still visible beyond transparency.
It recognizes its right path
To posit its reflection as possible.
...

Amidst the room’s darkness
Eyelids force me to dream.
But sleep fairy’s not on route
Even during the wee hours.
...

HmmHmmm…
Humming sweet songs.
Like spirits guide me;
As if inspirations make me.
...

Matag subida sa da’n
Ginagmay’ng pinugos nga tulak
Aron lang makab-ot
Ang kaitas-an sa kina-iyahan.
...

Droplets of cold dew
Falling upon my face
While the freezing air
Penetrates through me.
...

Tonight is the night
I can feel it.
The heaven agrees with me
And the wind blows gently.
...

The water sparkles in your eyes,
As your lips glow rose red.
The capturing net of beauty
Imprisoned my blue heart.
...

You said something
I did my best to listen
Sometimes, we did some other stuffs apart
I wanted to know what's in your hand
...

Sa dihang mingsugod ug kalabog
ang tanang bukog sa dughan
ug ginagukod ang matag dangop sa hangin
inig magkahinay ka ug du-ol
...

I live in a house full of new things
I'm sitting on a chair I don't know
What form or shape I'll describe it
I'm using a microwave oven

Salog Sa Kalibutan

Ania’g nag-inusara,
Kauban ang barkada.
Nag-isturyahanay.
Nagkinataw-anay.

Nagalingkod sa salog sa kalibutan.
Bugnaw ang tayhop sa hangin.
Mapanimahuan ang yamog
Sa kangitngit ug kahapsay.

Apan pakyas sa pagtago
Sa nagakum-ot nga mata,
Ang matag ambak sa dughan
Inig ikaw ang mahunahunaan.

Naghinaot kong makalimot
Sa hulagway sa maanyag,
Apan di’ gayud mapapa
Ang inagi-an sa tiil.

Hangtod niining takna-a
Samtang nag-inusara ug kauban ang barkada,
Samtang usa ra ka salog ang atong ginatindugan,
Di’ na gayud magbaha ug yamog.
