Willows Smile Poem by Kevin Patrick

Willows Smile

Rating: 5.0

Two glowing orbs of coral pierce
From convex of a half-moon kiss
The witch of pixies had revealed
My armoured soul to Willows smile

Unthreaded from my every nerve
Goosebumps scurried on restless skin
Dry hesitation drew in turn
That scintillated from her grin

She captured me in ecstasy
With scarlet curls that ran in streaks
Down tender skin of elfin Cheeks
Immaculate with faultless poise

Green with valour was her honour
Swelling deep from a perfumed spear
And there regaled finer charter
A face of hope that knew no fear

It was not love that struck my heart
But a state of pure addiction
For in her gaze was the noble art
Of pure devoted Innocence

And now I am growing man
Longing for yesteryear’s child
Gazing across the never land
Lighthouse beacon of Willow smile
