Why Must I Weep? Poem by Hebert Logerie

Why Must I Weep?

Now, why must I cry?
Yesterday, you lied
You were making fun
Of me sitting in the sun
You were laughing so hard
That smokes came out of your ears
You were giggling so hard
That you filled up a cup with tears
Of joy. Now, under a different climate
You want me to weep, to cry
You must be out of your mind
Because I‘ll never be your jail mate
Now, why must I cry?
You're a liar. Good bye.
