Whispering Memories Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Whispering Memories

Silently traveling down pathways of forgiveness,
touching images with love and grace, filling
emptiness being alone does bring.

Strolling down memory lanes, hand in thought,
battling within, skating on very thin ice as
memories whisper in my ear, telling of the love
we used to share when family was here on earth.

Now their shadows walking in my mind are all
that's left of them.

Silently traversing pathways of forgiveness,
touching images preciously with love and grace.

Once we enjoyed the bliss of a beautiful family with parents lavishing love on us! With their departure and the siblings dividing into nuclear families, much of the former thrill is lost. But the sweet memories that we carry are our keepsakes and give us the energy to wade through our sense of loneliness!
