While Here... Poem by Mark Heathcote

While Here...

While here run through tall meadows
while here smell the scent of flowers
while here feel the beat of a bird's wing
while here touch the tingling snows.

While gazing up at the moon
while here sit in the arms of a tree
while here count at midnight the stars
and thank yours, mine are still ours.
