Where The Sparrows Chirp Poem by Gert Strydom

Where The Sparrows Chirp

(for Annelize)

Where the sparrows chirp and doves coo,
it's if all the birds this morning sing with joy
about God's benevolence,
as if nature today does a person enrapture.
In my heart there is love that stirs for you,
something deeper than a mere inclination,
where your voice-notes brings to me your love
and against the onslaught we all stand firm,
where God do still in struggle and war
determine each life and when we are lost
straighten the ways ahead
and in my soul, spirit and heart you are always.
as someone that no one can remove,
where your messages brings hope to me.
