Where is tomorrow?
Thursday,29th October 2020
You promised to make it holy
but you destroyed our hope wholly!
was it to happen, really?
it looks betrayal and silly
you gave us hope
but dimmed the light or stopped
instead of bright tomorrow,
you allowed gloom to descend
what were the protestors asking?
posing question and tasking future,
why couldn't you assure?
you had no answer
it is our aspiration
we want a nation of tomorrow
where there shall be no sorrow
but harmony and peace shall grow
we ask no more
but feel sore
as one time we adored
now feel bored
country has fallen
in the hands of wolves and driven
to the path of darkness
who shall come and wipe our tears?

We will come and save the day or it will not be done. A well penned poem, H.A.
Shahid Nasim Hyder badge icon Such despair and agony overflows this poem. The promised exit from them are not fulfilled. The tomorrow of relief remains choked. The suggestive horror and despair taken globally is the same with those who cherish to run away from days of darkness. · Reply · 2h · Edited
